Rovers!
Woooof. We came roaring back into a bit of form in the Marcus Lipton Cup and overcame the ultimate banana skin. No, it wasn’t the fact that SW Lions were an U23s team and in Div 10, it was the fact that it was blowing a gale, and I was playing in goal.
I played like Edison. Sadly, it was Thomas Edison, the Victorian (and long deceased) inventor of the lightbulb. BOOM BOOM.
Without being glib though, we played some really lovely stuff at times and played with a relaxed freedom we haven’t shown for some time. I really enjoyed by vantage point between the sticks watching it. Long may it continue and into the league season.
