Ah foook. I thought it might be our year for the Marcus Lipton. Instead we played some great stuff at times and just when we looked like closing the door on Dara FC we let them back into the match and let them into the 2nd round. Yes, we were unlucky with a worldie of a free kick opener and a hotly disputed equaliser but we should have been out of sight at halftime rather than going in at 2-2. We’re up against reigning league champions this weekend in Battersea Park Rangers. They’re absolute beatable if we take our chances and cut out the sloppiness which crept in as the game went on.
0-1 Dara went ahead with a decent free kick from 25 yards after the maddeningly poor ref blew for a cheap foul. The ball was hit hard, high and curling over the wall into the left hand side of the net.
1-1 Seb grabbed the 1st goal of another hat trick, running down the left and slotting into the far right hand corner with aplomb.
2-1 Seb No.2. See Seb’s 1st.
2-2 We gave away a cheap corner kick over playing in the left back position. The corner came in and was handballed which the ref missed. From this ricochet the ball was knocked in.
2-3 Their striker picked the ball up in the left back position, slalomed past a few Rovers defenders and bent in the ball in the far corner of the net from just inside the box. Decent finish.
2-4 A freekick from 25 yards went through Shev in the greasy conditions as by this point it was hammering it down with rain.

MOM. No official vote for this but i’m giving it to Seb for rapier finishing.
Sunday 21st October Fixture
This Sunday sees us take on reigning league champions Battersea Park Rangers. Let’s exorcise the demons of last week and give them a beating. We are more than capable.
