Match Report - 23 Nov 2014, Clapham Rovers Clapham Rovers lost to Kings United
Rovers 0 - 2 Kings Utd
Pi55ing hell. We lost to them again. To be honest, I can't really face writing an in depth match report.
Full credit to all the lads who turned up. We gave absolutely everything in the face of freezing temperatures, torrential rain, a quagmire pitch and the usual Kings Utd histrionics but came up short. I couldn't ask for more though.
Let's just get them next time!
We didn't create many clear cut chances but I still fancied us to knick a goal from a set piece. Even with seconds to go, we very nearly did.
They scored a really decent goal in the 2nd half, a ball that split our defence down the middle and was finished well by their number 7 into the corner of the net. They then won the game in the 1st half of extra time with a bundled home corner.
MOM: Danny Pybus. A miraculous performance. Pulled off some miraculous saves, came for every ball, didn't spill a shot in the aquatic conditions and played through the pain of a reckless challenge from a Kings Utd sub.
