CLAPHAM UNLEASH DAYS OF THUNDER ON ATHLETICO SKY AS THEY CRUISE TO VICTORY WITH A COCKTAIL OF GOALS.
Clapham Rovers 'A' 7 - Athletico Sky 2
I hadn't seen Athletico Sky play and if the truth be told I was concerned that following our poor form in the last two games, and Sky's run into 2nd place, our unbeaten run could come to an end. I needn't have worried though because quite simply we brushed them aside like Stephen Hawking at the top of a ski slope. The game was over at half time following a devastating exhibiton of finishing and fluid play that we've shown for the large majority of the season. It was an absolute pleasure to watch and I hold you all personally responsible for the exuberent 'Snazzy Sunday' day of drinking that I embarked upon following the game. We've got 2 tough games on Sunday vs Tooting Bec Rovers but the finishing line is in sight. Keep your heads, keep playing the football we have all season and don't let the levels of desire and effort you've shown all season drop. The title is ours if we reach out and grasp the opportunity.
Sunday's goals are described by the 'Gigalum Menace,' Bunny.

Goal 1. Dave plays the ball into Si clean through on goal. Engages the goalkeeper and then left foot finish into bottom corner
Goal 2. Ball is fed into Si on the right hand side of the penalty area. One touch to get the ball out his feet, swerve around a defender and then smash it into the top right corner.
Goal 3. Ball breaks to Dave Fynn on the outside of the penalty area (left side) he shin-lobs the ball perfectly over the keeper into the bottom right.
Goal 4. Penalty. Header from me to Nick who is fouled. Si knock in the pen to the bottom left for his hat-trick
Goal 5. OG. Ball hits one of their players and loops over the keeper
Goal 6. Jim fires a ball to the right hand side to Nick, I make a run behind the defence. Nick finds me and I clip it in first time into the bottom left from a tightish angle.
Goal 7. Header from corner from me at back post
They score two, but who cares we are home and dry.
